Legacy of Kain: The Greatest vampire chronicle

I don’t know whether some of you had heard or is aware of the Legacy of Kain series. Well, to start with the obvious, it’s a video game, first conceived during the 90's, which later made its way to become the greatest vampire video game in the gaming industry as of yet.

Yes it’s a video game. Even so, in my perspective, it’s the greatest vampire chronicle story ever told, even though it’s depicted as a video game. I’m sure millions of video gamers around the globe couldn’t agree more.

The story revolves around a vampire named Kain & Raziel set in a fictitious realm called Nosgoth.

The most impressive aspect of the story which makes it apart, so unique from other vampire chronicles such as ‘Devils may cry’, ‘Dracula’, ‘Interview with the Vampire’, or ‘Vampire Hunter D’, is that the story’s immense and complex storyline which is implicated with both a spiritual realm and a material realm, super incredible characters, blended with a cool gothic dialogue and time travel which makes it even more exciting.

Even when couching praise in specific terms, it’s hard to convey the scope of this vampire story in a mere paragraph or two.

For instance, Kain’s storyline is entirely opposing to Raziel’s storyline, and both stories converge eventually and succumb to a great ending. One might think when talking about vampires, its mostly about blood sucking. No, not Legacy of Kain, it has very minimal focus on that.

To fully know the complicated story of Legacy of Kain, you should be engaged in playing the video game itself. Unfortunately, there are no other media sources except some brief summaries of the story on the internet.

There are 5 video games released on the playstation/pc/sega platform. In oder:- Name/ Year Released/ Platform:-- Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain 1996 PC / PlayStation Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1999 PC / PlayStation / Dreamcast Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 2001 PC / PS2 Blood Omen 2: Legacy of Kain 2002 PC / PS2 / Xbox / GameCube Legacy of Kain: Defiance 2003 PC / PS2 / Xbox.

To me, the character Raziel is the most grotesque, unique and weird looking vampire figure in all of vampire character history.

I hope in near future, a feature film will be released based on Legacy of Kain series, one directed by a director like the guy who did Transformers…Can’t wait to see it….seeing the video game CGI’s….anyone's anticipation for a feature film will be raised..
